Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has partnered with the West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) to make improvements to the wound care pathways for patients, working closely with colleagues at SEQOL and Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Swindon Wound Care Improvement Project (SWIPE) was launched on 30 June 2016. The West of England AHSN is supporting all organisations to adopt a Quality Improvement (QI) approach for this project.
The one day course is designed to bring together all those committed to making a change in Wound Care and working together to make it happen. Who better than the staff in Swindon delivering this care to design and make the changes?
The course includes;
- Clinical update training
- Introduction to Quality Improvement (QI)
- How to use QI to deliver improvements in your workplace
- Examples of ongoing improvement projects
- Meet the Improvement Leads- who will support you when implementing improvements
- Have your say on issues with wound care services and what you would do to improve them.
The course is free, including lunch and refreshments. Ongoing support will be provided after you have received your training to aid the delivery of improvement work from our Improvement Leads.
Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. We are also holding this training on Tuesday 29th November 2016.
