SWRCCU Leaders Conference
Date and time
Location
Online event
An event to help senior leaders in the South West understand the threat from cyber crime, and increase their own organisation's resilience.
About this event
Many cyber attacks are opportunistic, and any organisation could be impacted. In 2021, four in ten businesses (39%), and a quarter of charities (26%) report having cyber security breaches or attacks in the last 12 months. On average, for those reporting negative impacts, the costs are substantial.
Senior leaders have a major role to play in protecting their organisations. Not only are they responsible for shaping culture, processes, and infrastructure, but they themselves can be targeted for their access to valuable assets, and their influence.
This free, non-technical virtual conference will enable leaders to understand the cyber threat to their organisations, and outlines the protective measures needed to stay secure. The event will also explore how law enforcement can support you, what happens when you report an incident, and features a rare opportunity to hear from a managing director whose company was a victim of a ransomware attack.
When registering, please complete your organisation and role so we can ensure that the webinar is suitable for you.
About us:
The SWRCCU are a specialist capability in the police who tackle cyber crime impacting organisations across the South West region (Devon & Cornwall, Dorset, Avon & Somerset, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire). We bring a unique perspective being able to discuss the latest threats and case studies from their own investigations. The primary role of the Protect team is to support victims of cyber crime and help them to build their cyber resilience after an incident. We also deliver nationally recognised advice and guidance to organisations across the South West on how to protect themselves from cyber crime, and how to prepare themselves to ensure that they can recover should an incident occur.
