Event description

Description

Event Information:

The SWW DTP's Writers' Retreat gives students the opportunity to devote a whole day to writing in a quiet, structured and supportive atmosphere.

The retreat is facilitated by Pam Lock, GW4 Developing People Officer and a postgraduate researcher herself. Pam has organised similar events for the Faculty of Arts at Bristol and the Bristol Doctoral College, with great success.

You will need to arrive 'ready to write' but may bring any materials (books, data etc) with you of course. There will be some short discussions on good writing practice and how to approach your writing as a professional task but the vast majority of the day will be devoted to writing without distraction. To this end, there will be no internet, no mobile phones, etc during the writing periods but laptops are welcome for writing purposes.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Please arrive promptly for a 09:30am start
