Event description
Join us to learn about the outcomes of the 2018/19 Master student collaborations and share ideas!

About this Event

Over the past academic year, a number of Masters students from Kings College London, the Centre for Urban Science and Progress, UCL’s Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis and Imperial College have collaborated with Westminster City Council on their dissertation projects, applying their skills to the challenges and opportunities facing the City.

To share outcomes, celebrate our partnerships and thank everyone involved, we have arranged a short symposium on Tuesday September 3rd, in the Lord Mayor’s Reception Rooms at Westminster City Hall and we would be delighted if you could join us.

Following some short presentations between 13:00 and 14:30, there’ll be an opportunity to talk to the students and staff over refreshments.

The agenda for the afternoon is as follows:

  • 13:05 Westminster City Council welcome
  • 13:10 Dr. Petr Slovak, KCL Lecturer in Computer Science - Technological Interventions to Promote Mental Health
  • Brief introduction of Master projects
  • 13:30 Jack Humble, KCL MSc Candidate - Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Distribution
  • 13:45 Ben Faulkner, KCL MSc Candidate – Geo-demographic Segmentation with Acorn and City Survey
  • 14:00 Qiuwen Li, UCL MSc Candidate – Geography and Patterns of Sports Participation
  • 14:15 Dr. Connie Junghans, WCC Public Health – Collaboration with Imperial College
  • 13:30 Conclusion of event
  • 14:35 Chat over refreshments

Please RSVP through this Eventbrite page if you’d like to join us.
