Event description

Description

You are at the edge of the plane looking down at 13,000 feet of air ...

This is where you will probably undertake the biggest challenge of your life and sky dive for the people of Syria.

Muslim Charity has been one of the leading organisations in responding to the latest onslaught in Ghouta, Syria. With your help we have provided cooked meals in the besieged areas through our partner organisations and volunteer group on the ground.

Our SYRIA SOS campaign hopes to address the immediate need for food and further support for the Syrian people through medical aid and other necessary support as the needs are established.

Please join us as we hold hands with the Syrian people to show them our humanity and solidarity.

All you need to raise is £500 (Excluding Gift Aid) and you can jump for free. All your donations will go towards the SYRIA SOS campaign.

We ask for a small nonrefundable deposit of £50 which will be reimbursed when you hit the target.

If you have not made up your mind yet and would like more information, please get in touch with Rashid Ali on 07946 382 868/020 7100 4930 or rashid@muslimcharity.org.uk.

FAQs

Is there an age limit?

You must be 16 and over but there is no upper limit.

How much do I need to raise?

If you raise a minimum of £500 (excluding gift aid) you can jump for free.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We can provide transport for all the jumpers who will be traveling from London and there is free parking for those making their own way.

What kind of clothes should I wear?

All specialist equipment and clothing will be provided i.e. Jumpsuit, helmet, goggles, and gloves. On the day of your jump you should dress in warm clothes and preferably trainers or closed toe shoes.

What if the weather is bad on the day of my jump?

All aviation activity is dependent on suitable weather conditions and Parachuting is no exception. UK weather is notoriously difficult to forecast, especially more than 24 hours in advance. Should there be adverse weather we will need to rearrange another suitable date. But there will be no extra cost to you.

I'm I insured?

All the jumpers are insured by the skydiving company.

What if I have more questions?

Your contact point is Rashid Ali who is available on 07946 382 868 or rashid@muslimcharity.org.uk. Please also refer to the Sky Dive whatsapp group.

What if I cancel?

The charity receives favorable rates from the Skydive company but if anyone fails to turn up the charity must pay the full costs of a jump. That’s why we ask for a small deposit of £50.

So if you have any issues with the dates please get in touch with us as early as possible so we can make alternative arrangements.
