Overview

A vital skills training session on the use of syringe pumps.

St Michael's Hospice is hosting a Syringe Pump training session.

Join us at the Arthur Easton Centre to receive hands on training.

This session is open to registered nurses working in the Sussex ICB area, and will be facilitated by our Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Fully funded by NHS Sussex, this session is open to all Sussex employees in health and social care.

If you are based outside of Sussex, a £50 charge applies.

This training session will cover:

  • What is a syringe pump is, features and functions.
  • Indications when a syringe pump will be used.
  • Common symptoms managed by a syringe pump.
  • Common medications used in a syringe pump.
  • Equipment, insertion sites and monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Advantages and disadvantages.

Places are limited and booking is essential - we encourage early registration to secure your space. Please note that you will need to provide your NMC PIN to attend.
