Description

Please join LJMU's Evidence Sythesis Network in our first Systematic Review Research Cafe:

The impact and added value of systematic reviews

Systematic reviews are widely used as a scientific tool to synthesise and make sense of evidence. The session will focus on how systematic reviews can add value and impact in research and policy across disciplines, and will be of particular interest to postgraduate students and research staff. There will be three speakers from the LJMU Evidence Synthesis Network who all have experience in the conduct and teaching of systematic review methods.

  • Gerlinde Pilkington (Public Health Institute) will explore how and why different forms of systematic reviews are used across policy contexts
  • Lisa Jones (Public Health Institute) will discuss how systematic review methods have both research and policy impact
  • Caroline Brett (Natural Sciences and Psychology) will be looking at how to make the most of your own systematic review experience with some handy hints and tips “from the coalface”

Although this event is free, booking is required.

There will be tea/coffee and refreshments available.
