Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: I’d love to attend, but the location is too far. Can I still get involved?
Yes. While we aim to cover different regions, we understand this won’t suit everyone. All learning and resources developed will be shared nationally through online CPD once the groups conclude - so make sure you’re on our communications list.

Q2: I lead on curriculum but my employer engagement colleague can’t attend. Is that OK?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to attend alone. We’ll support you to bring insights back to your team and feed in wider views.

Q3: I already attend the AoC Community of Practice for my route. Is this the same?
Not quite. These Action Groups are short-term, sector-specific working groups focused on co-developing practical outputs to support industry placement delivery. They complement, but are separate from, existing networks.

Q4: How much time is required beyond the meetings?
Groups meet monthly for three months. Between sessions, you may be asked to complete light tasks such as team discussions, employer conversations, or resource testing - but nothing heavy. Anna and Karen will lead the main development work.

Q5: Do I need to attend all three sessions?
Yes. To ensure meaningful progress and strong collaboration across the group, we’re asking that a consistent representative (or ideally pair) attends all three sessions. This continuity is important for building shared understanding, following ideas through, and contributing fully to the group’s work.
