Let's make World Diabetes Day count this year. The T1D Festival, hosted by the League of Diabetes, is a one-of-a-kind event to be held in the stunning Great Hall of Merchant-Taylors (a venue with over 700 years of history in London). We're bringing people together for an evening of connection, empowerment, and impact.
Dress code: BLUE and YOU.
This exciting evening will feature:
- 🌟 World Diabetes Day Empower Panel – inspiring conversations with voices of experience and impact in the diabetes world.
- 📖 Book Launch – The Chronicles of Glycaemia, Gavin Griffiths shares a powerful story in adapting to a type 1 diabetes.
- 🛍 T1D Expo – discover advancing products and community-led projects shaping diabetes care.
- 👗 Divabetica Fashion Show – coming to us from Brazil, Fabiana Couto hosts a movement that celebrates boldness and confidence within the diabetes community.
- 🎵 Live Entertainment -- stay tuned! We'll end the night on a high note (hopefully not in alerts).
We will provide canapés, with a bar service open to purchase drinks from.
Your Ticket Supports The Cause: the T1D Festival helps fundraise for type 1 diabetes community projects. Your ticket is a donation that will help to support over 300 lives impacted by diabetes in the UK and Costa Rica through two projects:
- Camp Phoenix is the first camp to connect adults with T1D in the UK, with a focus on mental health support in our emotional journey of daily diabetes management.
- In Costa Rica, where access to advancing treatments and care can be limited, Asociacion Dia Vida host the country's only diabetes education camp for youth age groups and parents (which reaches those across rural areas via a coach service).
Each camp costs approximately £10,000. Whether £15 or £100, every ticket goes towards ensuring these projects can happen in 2026.
This is our 3rd annual T1D Festival - and we hope to see you there!
