TA Deep Dive 3/10: Script System as a diagnostic tool
Overview
Who is it aimed at
Psychotherapy trainees and TA Qualified Practitioners.
Workshop Outline
Script is a really powerful way of understanding and supporting our clients, but can sometimes feel daunting to engage with- this workshop will explore a really helpful framework for this ‘the script system’. In this workshop we will explore how to use the Script System (O’Reilly-Knapp and Erskine, 2003) as a diagnostic tool both with and without the client. We will go on to link other TA and non-TA theories with this model. Throughout this workshop we will be considering practical ways this model can impact our psychotherapy work.
Aims
The aim of this training is to give an overview of how to use the Script System practically and to support the participants with tools for how to use this model to inform treatment direction.
