Psychotherapy trainees and TA Qualified Practitioners.
Workshop Outline
Symbiosis, especially 2ndorder symbiosis can be a really common feature of some people’s relational pattern within significant relationships. In this course we will consider the origins of symbiosis in how it originally kept us alive, and consider how it can become maladaptive causing us issues in our client’s current relationships.
This workshop will consider really practical ways that this can be spotted and worked though with our clients.
Aims
The aim is to give an overview of symbiosis, and consider how we might support clients who are impacted by this relational pattern.
Learning Outcomes
The participants should have a good understanding of symbiosis, how it can develop with our clients, and how to support their clients with this.
