Event description

Description

From launching in the middle of last year the event continues to grow, due to this we are changing the format slightly for this event

There will be three streams that you can attend on the day and you will have the opportunity to move to a different stream after the first hour, should you wish, to ensure you get the most from the day.

Delivering a great candidate journey and experience – Kirsty Paterson is the Group Resources Manager at Robertson. Robertson is one of the UK’s largest, independently owned construction, infrastructure and support services companies, they comprises 21 businesses, directly employing over 2300 people. Kirsty manages a team of seven across the UK and last year they filled 560 vacancies across a wide range of roles from cleaners for a new contract right to strategic headhunts for director level roles. Kirsty is incredibly passionate about providing candidates with a great experience as when she joined they were very transactional, had a challenging hiring manager population and ever increasing agency spend. Kirsty and her team have utilised new systems and rolled out new processes, enabling them to transform their candidate experience. They are now able to reap the rewards through referrals, managing talent pools and reducing our attrition rates, making her the ideal persona to share insight and facilitate a discussion on this topic.

The importance on D&I in Talent Acquisition – Jo Grant is the Head of Resourcing at Edrington – Jo Grant is the Head of Resourcing at Edrington. Edrington owns some of the leading Scotch whisky and rum brands in the world, including The Macallan, The Famous Grouse, Highland Park, Cutty Sark, The Glenrothes, Brugal and Snow Leopard vodka. Headquartered in Scotland, Edrington employs around 3,000 people globally and remains majority shareholder owned by The Robertson Trust (which has donated over £230 million to a variety of charitable causes since 1961). Jo is responsible for managing the strategic direction of the organisation’s resourcing globally while delivering recruitment across all sites in the UK, from warehouse operators to executive positions. Having held a board position with Women in Banking and Finance, and contributed to conversations with Lloyds Banking Group’s inclusion committee, Jo is extremely passionate about diversity and inclusion. She will lead discussions on the challenges of delivering D&I within talent acquisition and help us understand how we meet the expectations of our business stakeholders.

Employer Brand on a shoe-string – Euan McNair is the Talent Attraction and Employer Brand Consultant at Standard Life Aberdeen. Headquartered in Scotland, they have staff located in 50 offices worldwide, they are now the largest active manager in the UK and the second largest in Europe with £670bn of assets managed, administered and advised on worldwide. The group has over 9,000 employees, hires around 900 candidates each year at varying levels across the globe. Euan leads Standard Life Aberdeen’s Talent Attraction and Employer Brand agenda across the range of segmented brands, business units and talent pools. He is incredibly passionate about taking the inside-out, showcasing employees, culture and purpose to drive forward Standard Life Aberdeen’s direct sourcing strategy. Since joining in 2015 they have been on a significant period of change, with their recent merger this is only going to heighten, so Euan will share with you where they were, where they are now and where they want to go, all with the aim of doing it quickly and capturing ROI as you go.

The event host will be Jo Grant and she has kindly provided the venue (Edrington, 100 Queen St, Glasgow G1 3DN). She’s kindly providing some drinks from 17.00 for those who want to continue the conversation!
