Join us for our January TA Workshop: Developing Trauma-Informed Approaches in Your Setting, a practical and empowering session designed to help TAs, LSAs and HLTAs support children and young people who have experienced adversity with confidence and compassion.
Hosted by Becky Dawson, our National Wellbeing Lead, this workshop will explore how trauma can affect learning, behaviour and emotional regulation, and provide practical strategies for teaching assistants supporting children and young people to feel safe, connected and ready to learn.
In this TA Workshop, you’ll learn how to:
- Understand the impact of trauma on children and young people's learning, behaviour and regulation
- Apply practical, trauma-informed strategies to everyday classroom situations
- Support children and young people who have experienced adversity
- Build confidence in fostering a calm, supportive classroom environment
- Use relational approaches to strengthen trust and engagement
This session is ideal for TAs, LSAs and HLTAs who want to deepen their understanding of trauma-informed practice and develop practical tools to support all children’s wellbeing and success. You’ll leave feeling more confident, equipped and ready to make a meaningful difference in your setting.
