The stage is being set for a brand new inter-trading event, unique to South Tyneside.
An innovative Tabletop Swapshop is being staged at The Mile. Brigham Place, South Shields on Tuesday 18 October.
At this novel event, local businesses will be able to swap information on their goods, services and business needs with other businesses in the borough in a relaxed and informal environment. Companies will simply showcase their products, services and business needs on their table top which potential customers and suppliers will browse at their leisure. Those interested in doing business will leave a business card so the tabletop owner can get in touch..
And, in addition to the Tabletop Swapshop activity, the evening will also include an opportunity to speak to the South Tyneside Business Forum’s own team of Business Buddies. This is a group of local experts whose knowledge and experience covers a wide range of business topics such as Social Media, Marketing, Recruitment, Human Resources, Business Funding, Accounting and Health and Safety. Members of the team will be on hand throughout the evening for informal one to one chats and to answer any business questions you may have.
“Doing business within the Borough is the best way to boost the local economy and that is what the Tabletop Swapshop is all about, it will be excellent way to create sales opportunities.” said Gary Craig, Chair off South Tyneside Business Forum.
“Participants will be able to build their network, profile their goods and services in an environment where there is no high pressure selling and, more importantly, discover who in the locality can supply their business.”
The October 18 event at The Mile runs from 6.30pm until 8.30pm; entry is £5 which includes exhibitor’s a tabletop space and access to the STBF’s band of Business Buddies.
