Tackling Domestic Violence & Abuse In Faith Communities: UNDERSTANDING PERPETRATORS
Thursday, 7 July 2016 from 09:30 to 16:00 (BST)
Perpetrators are the key agents of Domestic Violence & Abuse (DVA), and are entirely accountable for all their behaviours. They exhibit patterns of behaviour characterised by the exercise of control & the misuse of power over others – usually women and children.
Perpetrating DVA is generally a chronic problem, hence working with perpetrators is only effective where a perpetrator is absolutely willing to change, shows a good level of motivation, and is wholeheartedly committed to undergo transformative work.
The aim of this national training day is to provide in depth understanding on the multi-layered aspects of the perpetration of DVA, as well as provide direction on how to effectively work with perpetrators.
- Behavioural Patterns & Traits Of Perpetrators
- Multi-Dimensional Impact Of Domestic Violence & Abuse
- Perpetrators In Positions Of Faith Leadership
- Post-separation DVA & Faith
- Importance Of Safety & Restoration Of Adult & Child Victims / Survivors
- Targeting To Reverse Generational Transfer Of Abusive Behaviour
The training is especially suitable for statutory service workers, academics, survivors of DVA, politicians, other professionals who work with victims and perpetrators of DVA, multi-faith leaders, and members of multi-faith communities.
The event starts at 10.00am to 4.00pm. Registration is at 9.30am. The cost is £77.00 per delegate, inclusive of educational materials. Refreshments will be available but lunch will not be provided. To register online use the links above or call 01212317465 for offline payments.
Please note: no refunds are available for cancellations made within 3 weeks to an event date.
