Tackling Inequalities through Co-Production: A Spatial Approach
Event Information
About this Event
Ambition for Ageing in Greater Manchester have worked together with older people in their communities to tackle inequalities and identify the groups that are most marginalised. The team will be sharing their learning during an interactive 50 minute webinar.
This webinar offers a practical approach to identifying and co-producing with marginalised groups within your neighbourhood.
During the session, you will be guided through our unique model - a spatial approach to working with marginalised communities. The model considers the size and geographical distribution of different communities as a way of engaging them in group activities.
We will draw examples from our newly published toolkit of inclusion in practice to help ground the theory in practice.
During the session, you will discover how to create a model for your own community and will be given the opportunity to ask questions of our colleagues from the Ambition for Ageing Equalities Board, who developed the model and can share their practical knowledge of working with a range of marginalised communities.
This webinar will be on Zoom, a link with joining instructions will be sent out to you prior to the session.
If you have any further questions about the webinars (for example, if you can’t make the date and time and would like to sign up for the recording) or the toolkit, please get in touch with Vicky at v.odonoghue@syha.co.uk
