Tackling Loneliness (One Croydon Social Prescribing Programme)
Event Information
About this Event
CVA is inviting Croydon's frontline work force (statutory and voluntary) to take part in this online training programme, targeted at people supporting better health and wellbeing in Croydon. One of the key purposes is to share good practice across the sectors. Our online training sessions are 'pick and mix' and free of charge .
Feeling lonely and isolated can make life challenging, especially during a crisis. It can be difficult to know how to help.
This online workshop delivered by the British Red Cross aims to give you the opportunity to speak openly about how it might feel to be lonely or isolated and learn skills to help others who may be suffering.
Using group discussion to address the complex causes and effects of loneliness, there will be a chance to reflect and share personal experiences too. We will also discuss and practice how to be an effective listener in order to support others.
A Zoom link will be sent to you the day before the event; for any issues contact sarah.burns@cvalive.org.uk
