Description

As part of Mental Health Week - Bob Bowman QPM Director of Operations of Leeds Rhinos Foundation will speak about the Rugby World which is very forward thinking in their support for mental health and the impact it has, especially for men.

Robert 'Bob' Bowman QPM is Leeds born and bred. Bob was awarded the highest honour in Policing with the Queens Police Medal in the Queens Birthday Honours list 2014. Retiring from the Service in September 2016.

Rugby has been a major part of his life, playing mainly Union (North Leeds issues) but always preferring to watch Rugby League. One of his proudest moments when he was asked to become a Trustee of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

In 2004 Bob was made a Churchill fellow for his research into Policing techniques in America, gaining the Pol Roger Award for the fellowship that had the most impact in society.
