Event description

Description

Liverpool Diocese and The Clewer Initiative would like to invite you to a half-day workshop looking at the responses to eradicate modern slavery across the Liverpool city region. Both the Diocese and The Clewer Initiative are aware that there is already some excellent work tackling this issue in the local area, so are seeking to evaluate then build upon this with future events and projects.

Forming the start of an 18-month evaluation by Dr Alison Gardener of Nottingham University, the workshop aims to provide an opportunity for networking and develop greater involvement from faith groups and local communities.

If you are unable to attend but wish to continue to be included in future events please contact Christel Erving, Anti-Trafficking Project Co-ordinator.

Please note this an invitation-only event.

About The Clewer Initiative

A three-year project, The Clewer Initiative aims to enable Church of England dioceses and wider church networks to develop strategies to detect modern slavery in their communities and help provide victim support and care. They believe that the tools to end modern slavery already exist within the local community and that the church, which is present in all communities and at the heart of many, has a primary responsibility in leading these efforts. You can find out more here.
