Event description

Description

This networking meeting is designed to bring together a range of local groups and organisations to discuss issues of key concern to the fight against poverty. The meeting will be participative, and focused on discussion, debate and on generating networking opportunities. The meeting will be small scale to allow time for discussion and debate.

The event will focus on input to the Scottish Government's Social Security Charter

The discussions will be led by staff from the Poverty Alliance. The event is an opportunity to discuss what the Charter should look like, what should be its key features, and how do we learn from experiences such as the Patients Charter.

The event will also be an opportunity to strengthen networking and share good practice. At the end of the event we will have identified what we think should be key aspects of the Social Security Charter

Who should attend?

The networking meetings are FREE and open to all groups and organisations that are concerned about poverty in Scotland. Statutory agencies, local civil society organisations - community and voluntary organisations, trade union branches, faith groups - will find the discussions useful.
