Tackling Weapons Conference

Cheshire Constabulary invite you to attend our Tackling Weapons Conference. The event will run from 10am - 12pm in the Nave of Chester Cathedral followed by a minutes silence gathered outside around the Knife Angel.

We want to use the presence of the Knife Angel in Cheshire as a symbol of the hard work of partners and communities across Cheshire to stem weapon enabled violence. We all have a responsibility to respond together against the criminal use of knives in our city and county, and we wish to use this opportunity to pledge our commitment to all working together to make Cheshire Knife Free.

This conference is to showcase our partnership approach to tackling weapons and serious violence across Cheshire. There will be a discussion around both the national and Cheshire picture relating to knife crime, and recognition of the successful reductions we have had in our area over the last year. There will be speakers from various Partners, Community Groups and third sector representatives demonstrating some of the successful preventative methods we are using to make Cheshire a place that no young person needs to carry a knife.
