Overview

Join us on 4 Dec for Talking About Cancer Together — a morning of networking, shared learning & collaboration to improve cancer

Please join us for Talking About Cancer Together – taking place on Thursday 4th December 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, for a morning of networking, peer learning, and collaborative discussion.

This session brings together groups, organisations, and individuals who support people affected by cancer. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the meaningful conversations held throughout 2025 and to thank everyone who has contributed to the Talking About Cancer Together project. Your involvement is truly what makes this work possible.

To add a little festive cheer, Christmas accessories are warmly welcomed, though not compulsory!

This in-person event will be held at our Dereham office (Community Action Norfolk, Ambassador Way, Greens Road Dereham, Norfolk, NR203TL) and aims to spark thoughtful conversations about how we can continue to improve support for those living with cancer.

Together, we will:

  • Explore opportunities for collaboration across services and organisations
  • Share updates on the brilliant work you are doing locally
  • Identify challenges, gaps, or emerging issues that may need addressing

The event will open with brief reflections from Community Action Norfolk’s Talking About Cancer Together Project Manager, highlighting key achievements and learning from 2025.

We will then move into facilitated table discussions, enabling attendees to share approaches, insights, and experiences. Proposed discussion themes include (subject to adjustment):

  • Supporting children and young adults
  • Engaging with Primary Care Professionals
  • Reaching and engaging with service users
  • Working within a changing health landscape
  • Supporting diverse communities

If you have suggestions for additional discussion topics, please do let me know.

Following the structured section of the event, there will be time for informal networking and idea-sharing. Refreshments and mince pies will be provided — please inform me of any dietary requirements.

If you require any adjustments to support your attendance, please get in touch via Kate.Doe@CommunityActionNorfolk.org.uk. Further information about transport and table discussions will be sent to attendees once numbers are confirmed.

I very much hope you can join us.
