Event description

Description

Specially commissioned by St Cubert’s, inspired by workshops designed for those with sight loss but is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Become a detective for the day! Join Artist Wendy Daws to create your own tactile masterpieces.

Specially equipped, your mission will be to explore and draw St Cubert’s focusing on touch, textures, shapes around this historic church. You will emboss your findings onto foil board to create a tactile drawing.

Wendy Daws is a Kent based artist who has just been awarded a British Empire Medal for her work with disabled groups in and around Kent and Medway.

She believes strongly that disability is not an impairment to creativity. Art is for all regardless of age, ability or background. She has a strong background in working with both the young and the very old, and all of her workshops are designed to be fully accessible for everyone ( though please note that there is no ramp into the Church so wheelchair access is limited )

All materials supplied and Wendy will help you create your own masterpieces to take away.

Suitable for all ages, it's free and fun. Drop in any time during the three hour window
