TADASHI IMAI Piano Recital

After winning several international competitions, Imai has performed in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Suntory Hall, Wigmore Hall and Royal Festival Hall. He is a graduate of Toho Gakuen College of Music, Texas Christian University and the Royal Academy of Music. He was appointed the Associate of the Academy after being a junior fellow for 4 years. He has been an official accompanist of many international festivals and competitions including the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition and performed in recitals with prominent string players including Maurice Hasson, Lydia Mordkovich amongst many others. He studied piano with Christopher Elton, Tamás Ungár, Hidemitsu Hayashi, Mieko Nakagawa, Hiroshi Tajika, Kazuyo Ueda, and chamber music with Michael Dussek and Clifford Benson. His has recorded for several labels including Naxos and Dux and his solo CD will be released next year from the Italian company Sheva. He is a teacher at Queen Elizabeth’s School where he teachers piano/chamber music and music theory.
