TAFFY DAKAR 2026

The Taffy Dakar was formed in 2013 based on the idea from our Irish brethren called the Paddy Dakar.

The Taffy is a NON competitive motorcycle orienteering event and takes place every year on the first May bank holiday, It runs from Friday till Monday.

This is fun event from beginner to expert with the focus on being fun, we do have some rules with regards to which bikes we allow, this event is aimed at the trail/adventure bikes. sorry NO enduro or MX bikes.

This is a team event but don't worry, we have quite a few solos turn up and we can arrange you into teams of either 2 or more of similar riding ability. The event itinerary is as follows but may change slightly during the weekend.

FRIDAY

Campsite opens from around midday

Maps and questions given to the first team member who arrives and you will be allocated your camping spot.

8pm

there will be a riders briefing and warm welcome

SATURDAY

8am first group away

5.30 cut off time, anyone who comes in after this the scores wont be counted

7.15pm awards, prices and raffle

8.30 live music and refreshments

SUNDAY

9.15am group rides led by local TRF guides

2pm Talks in the Marquee

8pm Live entertainment
