Taize at Home 2021 is a six day guided spiritual retreat based on the Taize rhythm of prayer, discussion and community.

Monday 12th to Saturday 17th July 2021

Come and join us to explore Christian spirituality, connect with others and be inspired and renewed.

This week of spiritual retreat includes:

  • Mon -Sat (12th -17th July): 8am - Morning Prayer (Live on Facebook)
  • Mon-Sat (12th - 17th July): 12pm - Midday Prayer (Live on Facebook)
  • Mon-Thurs (12th -15th July): 7pm - Bible reflection & conversation for Young Adults aged18-35. (Zoom). Booking in advance via Eventbrite is required - please see the Taize at Home Facebook page for the link.
  • Mon-Thurs (12th - 15th July): 8.15pm - Evening Prayer (Live on Facebook)
  • Friday (16th July): 7pm Prayer around the cross led by Bishop Anne (Bishop of Aston)(Zoom and livestreamed on Facebook tbc)
  • Saturday (17th July): 10am-4pm Taize at Home Reflective Day for 14-35 year olds at St Peter's Church, St Albans . Booking in advance via Eventbrite is required. Booking information will be provided in due course via the Taize at Home Facebook page.
  • Saturday (17th July ) 7pm Prayer by candlelight led by Bishop Michael (Bishop of Hertford) from St Peters Church, St Albans (Zoom and Livestreamed on Facebook tbc). For anyone who would like to attend this service in person, you will need to book a ticket . Booking information will be provided in due course via the Taize at Home Facebook page.
  • Saturday 8pm - Post service gathering via Zoom for 18-35 year olds who are watching the 7pm service at St Peter's Church, St Albans online.

The Monday to Thursday evening Bible reflection and conversation sessions from 7-8pm on Zoom for the 18-35s is a chance to meet together to hear a Bible message from a member of the Taize Community and share and reflect together on the passage, this will be done in break out rooms. Please note that we are asking that you commit to all four Zoom sessions.
