Event description

Description

The largest disabled persons’ organisation in the UK with over 4000 members GDA builds disabled people’s confidence, connections and contributions. GDA works with disabled people of all ages and with any type of impairment and offers accessible programmes of learning. GDA believes that for policy and practice to truly change and to improve for disabled people, professionals must be informed and empowered. The voices and experience of disabled people are essential in this process, offering critical insights, analysis and solutions. GDA support a range of organisations and partners to involve disabled people in making services more accessible.

This workshop will provide you with a safe, non-judgemental space to:

  • Discuss and explore concerns and anxieties around supporting disabled apprentices
  • Understand and be better informed about the support available for disabled apprentices
  • Identify actions that you can implement to improve your practice in regard to the recruitment and support of disabled apprentices.

This workshop is only open to NTP training providers.

One space available per organisation.

Registration from 9.00am with a 9.30am start.
