TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR CAREER AND HAVE THE CAREER YOU WANT
Are you ready for more challenge and more responsibility? Do you feel that you probably grown your current role as much as you can?
Are you wondering 'what should be your next career move?' and whether it's better to stay at your current organisation or move externally?
Do you have an upcoming annual review and want to discuss your career with your manager, but aren't sure what to say and how to ask him or her to support you.
You know that giving careful thought to planning your next career move will accelerate your career progression and re-energise you along the way. But what if you don't have the time or motivation to it?
If that's you, then this in-depth one-day workshop is perfect for you.
I'm Ros Toynbee, a Career Coach who has been in this field for over fourteen years. During the day you'll receive insight from me and additional feedback from other participants, meaning you no longer have to figure out how to do this on your own.
Specifically you will learn
The elements of your job (or company) that you need to keep, and those you need to ditch
What motivates you and where you can make a bigger impact in your work
What really stops you from taking action towards going for the role you want, or creating it if it's not there
How to build allies and involve others in supporting you in the process
How to use tools like LinkedIn to further your career
You'll walk away from the workshop with a much clearer sense of career direction, and an effectively, timely and inspiring action plan to make it happen.
If your career moves have been determined by others instead of you making proactive choices, this workshop is especially for you. You'll take back control of your career and stop yourself getting cornered into roles or projects that no longer excite you.
Join me, and you'll learn how to make your career goals a reality in 2017.
I've started a job search already? Is this workshop suitable for me?
It is, if you are not achieving interviews, your job 'target' (i.e. the type of role/type off company that is the best fit for you) is unclear and/or you have no enthusiasm for your search. This workshop will help you drill down into what really drives you as well as the elements you are looking for in your next role. Being able to articulate these clearly, and with passion, will set you apart from other candidates and help you land your next job.
I just started a new role but I have never done career planning before. Is this day right for me?
You can never start career planning too early. Although your key focus is going to be learning the ropes and fulfilling your goals and objectives for your probationary period, it doesn't hurt to be strategic about how you would like grow your role, how you will build trusted allies within your organisation and stay plugged into your industry so that you are adding even more value and are setting yourself up for success for when you later want to expand your responsibilities.
