Have you experienced major change in your life?

Do you ever worry about your mental health?

Does life feel like its slipping out of control and you're powerless to do anything about it?

Most of us would answer yes to at least one of these questions at times in our lives. You might have seen your GP, or taken time off sick from work. You might have found it difficult to sleep, feel your emotions are out of control, or sometimes experience anxiety, mood swings or depression.

If our physical health is suffering, there are some basic things we can do to improve it. Its better to do a 20 minute walk every day than go off and run a marathon. We know that it's the everyday habits which matter most. But when it comes to our mental health, we don't even know how to talk about it let alone know how to take care of it. And most people who are experiencing mental ill-health end up doing things that actually make it worse, not better.

In this series of two hour workshops delivered from two different venues, Carolyn Barber introduces ideas, strategies and exercises which help promote good mental health, and talks about how they can really make a difference to our moods and stress levels.

So if you're interested in feeling more relaxed and calm, having more energy and enthusiasm, improving your mood balance, and enjoying life more fully, come along and find out more.

In each workshop, Carolyn will:

  • Talk about the Topic of the Day 
  • Explain how to use the innovative 5Cs framework to build your own personal plan for good mental health
  • Introduce 'Fitness for the mind' exercises which can be practised daily   

Enjoy a relaxing, calm and safe environment, take time out for yourself and come away with tools and ideas you can use everyday to take care of your mental health.
