Take it to the Stats: How we can use data to close the happiness gap
Overview
Join the Gender Balance Network along with The FLIP (Female Leadership in Publishing) to take a look at how we can use the data that has historically widened divides around gender, neurodiversity and class to help close it.
Led by Claire Shanahan (CEO of The Women's Prize Trust), Katie Espiner, Kirty Topiwala and Yan Zhuchen-Mander will dive into the findings of Femonomics (Hodder), as well as The FLIP’s 2025 workforce survey to help you see that some of the struggles you might be facing ‘are not in your head, they’re in the data’ and shed light on issues like balancing caring responsibilities with career ambitions, increasing regional diversity in publishing and opening up about mental health in the workplace.
The event will run from 6pm-8pm on November 12th 2025, and be recorded as a special audio episode and hosted on The FLIP's website.
Your ticket includes a drink and the opportunity to take a copy of some upcoming Hachette titles, as well as the FLIP’s annual report.
We kindly suggest a minimum donation of £8 per ticket. As a non-profit, we really appreciate any financial support you’re able to give towards the work we do.
