Taking England to the World January Online Sessions

VisitEngland would like to invite you to Taking England to the World - a virtual training programme which aims to help your business reach new customers and grow your revenue.

Taking England to the World has been created and is being delivered by industry experts providing information on insights and research, marketing, product development, distribution and partnerships to create a fully rounded training offering.

With content covering all aspects of getting ready to work with the travel trade to attract new customers, this training course will cover an overview of the key markets to England, defining and distributing your product offering, to building powerful relationships and creating engaging content.

Developed as part of the government’s £40M Discover England Fund, this free course is designed to equip you with the skills and foundations to develop and promote your product for sale in key markets.

Who is it for?

This training programme is aimed at suppliers from all sectors of the English travel industry – from accommodation to attractions, and from excursions to experiences. Whilst particularly suitable for SMEs, larger organisations are also welcome to attend.

When is it and how long does it take?

Places for this highly sought after course are limited and by signing up to this training session, you are committing to six hours across three weeks. We will cover different topics during each session, hence your attendance in all three sessions of this training is requested.

First session: Tuesday 9th January 2024 – 11:00-13:00

Second session: Tuesday 16th January 2024 – 11:00-13:00

Third session: Tuesday 23rd January 2024 – 11:00-13:00

Additional information

This Virtual Taking England to the World programme is supported by VisitEngland Academy learning portal, which will provide a blended learning experience. Through the portal you will have access to pre and post session supporting materials; for example, exercises, reading materials, and other resources. It will allow you to practice your learning and also communicate in a forum with other learners and the course facilitators.

Once registered to our Virtual Taking England to the World, your learning portal account will be created by our team and all details will be sent to you a few weeks before we have our first live (virtual) session- so you can start preparing and will be ready to start.

Prior to attending the first live session, you need to complete modules one to four. We anticipate this should take up to ten minutes to complete.
