As part of UKFT's goal to simplify the journey towards sustainability and help companies make the right choices by providing unbiased, industry-specific guidance, it will be hosting a wide range of webinars to accompany the sustainability 101 series of publications, developed with UKFT members in mind.

We are pleased to announce that Lucy Murphy from OEKO-TEX® will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday 6 December, showcasing some of OEKO-TEX®'s certification products and services as tools to verify and communicate sustainability efforts.

The session will cover:

How businesses can use certification to articulate strategy and mitigate risks when it comes to greenwashing.
How standards can comply with voluntary and legislative chemical compliance.
How the OEKO-TEX® STeP certification covers chemical, environmental and ethical management (with a focus on Scope 1, 2, and 3 reporting and human rights).

Lucy Murphy

Lucy’s specialisms are voluntary and legislative chemical compliance for global market entry, alongside sustainability communication through certification. She helps brands and their supply chains to use certification to evidence compliance and to articulate corporate strategy and communicate accurately surrounding human ethical, environmental and chemical supply chain commitments.

Lucy has years of experience growing the reach of OEKO-TEX® in the UK, having worked with start-ups, prominent high street retailers and heritage British brands. Beginning her career in Paris and with a background in textile development, across both garment and home textiles, Lucy has a deep knowledge of the European apparel and retail landscape.
