Event description

Description

The Caerphilly Public Services Board Standing Conference brings together organisations from the public, private and third sector in a bi-annual conference for discussion, consultation and the development of partnership actions to support the regeneration of the county borough for its residents and businesses.

The Public Services Board has been tasked with the development of the Well-Being Plan for Caerphilly county borough under the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015, and has undertaken extensive research and consultation over the last eighteen months.

Join us at Ebenezer Baptist Church Centre, Pengam on Friday 23rd February and take your Happiness Pulse and find out how we will be measuring well-being in Caerphilly county borough.

As well as finding out how we will be using this innovative new way of measuring well-being, you will be able to answer a few simple questions to get your own happiness score, and then get information on how to transform your life in simple, low-cost, low-carbon, high-happiness ways.

You will also be able to see the latest version of the Well-Being Plan and the agreed Action Areas that you have helped to shape.

Finally you will hear from each of the Action Area Leads on what they are going to focus on and how you can be involved.

FAQs

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Registration is free, but places will be limited and early booking is advised.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not have to print a ticket or bring it with you to the event.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Ebenezer Baptist Chapel has parking for people with disabilities immediately adjacent to the entrance. There is limited on street parking and a pay and display car park within 250 yds of the Centre. We would ask participants to consider public transport or car sharing.

There are regular bus routes stopping in Glanynant a few hundred yards from the Centre: http://www.caerphilly.gov.uk/CaerphillyDocs/Transport/CaerphillyCountyBoroughBusTrainMap-(1).aspx

Ebenezer is also within walking distance of the Rhymney Valley Arriva Trains Wales line station at Pengam: https://m.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/timetables/

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

If you have any questions please contact Alison Palmer, Community Planning Coordinator
