About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Enjoy this short walk following the two rivers that run through Thetford, the Thet and the Little Ouse. We will take in stories of historic river recreation and heritage, and stop at various points to hear stories about having fun swimming, boating and fishing in the rivers, to see buildings from Thetford’s industrial past, and to immerse ourselves in our surroundings.

This one mile walk starts by the former Thetford Coffee Mill and follows the river along the leafy Spring Walk to the historic Nuns Bridges and the old outdoor River Swimming Baths.

The walk is accessible and, in collaboration with Enable Thetford, there is the option for some to travel in a rickshaw - though rickshaw tickets are very limited so please only book if you require these to take part.

Where: School Lane Car Park, Thetford IP24 2AG

Meet at the orange lifebuoy near Coffee Mill at the edge of the car park.
