About this Event
Lindsey is the co-author of Perthshire Folk Tales and has performed at many festivals and events. She particularly enjoys telling stories of place, invoking the sense and atmosphere of the people and land, and connecting with their communities.
This is a live online event that will enchant those of any age. Draw the curtains, get settled on the sofa, and hear tell of King Ruadh and the Witch, the Wild Man of Dunkeld, and other tales of the Tay.
How do online events work?
This event is being hosted on Zoom, an online meeting platform.
You do not need to have a zoom account to join this event. Once you have registered for the event on Eventbrite you will be sent an email with the meeting ID and password, and an invitation link.
There are two ways to join a meeting in Zoom. The first is to use a meeting ID and password. You will be prompted for this after selecting Join or when launching Zoom if you have it installed on your device. The other way to launch a Zoom meeting is to click on an invitation link. This bypasses the need to enter a password so you won’t be prompted to enter one. Clicking the invitation link will first open your web browser and take you to a zoom.us webpage. Zoom will either launch automatically or your web browser will ask if you want to allow Zoom to be launched. Click Yes or Allow and you will enter the Zoom meeting. Enter your name as you want it to appear to everyone else.
You will be able to see everyone who is attending the event. You can choose to enter the event with audio (microphone on) or without audio (microphone off), and with your video on, or video off. You can also use the tool bar at the bottom of the screen to mute your microphone on or off, and your video screen on or off, if you choose to have those off then no one will be able to see or hear you.
You can click on Chat on the toolbar if you would like to type a question for the author. And if at any point you need to leave, click on Leave Meeting.
