Event description

Description

Managing people is a special skills set, and yet so often talented individuals are put into management positions without being equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel as leaders. Being a good manager requires training and practice, and when done right, can significantly improve the performance of a team and organisation. Although leading people isn't always easy, the foundational principles are simple and can be learned by anyone.

Using a blend of interactive learning activities, group coaching and storytelling, this short intensive workshop will provide you with key principles and practical tools that you can take back into your workplace, including:

  • An understanding of the differences between leadership and management
  • Increased awareness of your triggers, motivators and unconscious biases, and how these may impact on how you lead your team
  • An action plan to help you continue your development beyond the workshop

This workshop is for anyone who wants to be more intentional about their approach to leadership and management, though we especially encourage first time and early career leaders and managers to attend.
