Event description

Description

As early as late last year, mass protests took place across major Brazilian cities against the watering down of a landmark anti corruption bill. With the issue of corruption continuing to dominate the headlines in Brazil, research in this area drives the debate.

The Association of Brazilian Graduate Students and Researchers in the UK are kindly supporting a Café Brazil event with two speakers:

  • Armando Castro, PhD student at Imperial College London: "Public Enemy Number One: Anticorruption fight and Corrupt networks"

  • Fernanda Figueiredo, PhD student at Kings College London: “Does size matter in fighting corruption? Internal controls in the federal Legislative and Executive branches in Brazil"

A buffet will be provided. All are welcome to attend.
