Event description

Description

The years following the early Renaissance in Europe opened up a world of cultural, artistic and intellectual exchange for the gifted and the curious and it was into this world that Albrecht Dürer was born in 1471. Dürer was greatly admired by highly influential Italian Renaissance artists and this lecture by Leslie Primo looks at the relationship between Italian art, Dürer and the Northern artists. Primo specialises in medieval and Renaissance art and lectures at major London galleries and museums as well as at art centres around the UK.

This is the 1st lecture in a series of 4 lectures looking in depth at the work of four German artists, selected from across a span of 600 years. You may also be interested in:-
