Talk for Health Sanity Hour: Counting Down til End of Lockdown!
Event Information
About this Event
WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER
While you're keeping us going by supporting our crowdfunding campaign, we're keeping you going til the end of lockdown with sponsored Talk for Health Sanity Hours every weekday until 2 December. Sanity Hours are Mon Wed Fri from 5-6 pm and Tu Th from 1-2 pm. Open to all - tell your friends!
Talk for Health Sanity Hours are open to anyone over the age of 18. They provide a safe confidential space where you can let go of the social mask and come as you are to help you feel more connected to yourself and other people during lockdown.
At each Talk for Health Sanity Hour, there will be opportunity to share in a safe space and hear from others about staying sane (or not!) during lockdown.
You will learn a bit about how to take care of your emotional health during lockdown and lift your own and others’ wellbeing through truthful talking and empathic listening. At a Talk for Health Sanity Hour led by a trained Talk for Health facilitator, you will learn the skills to be able to:
- Talk honestly
- Be listened to without judgement
- Share stories
- Form new connections
WHAT IS TALK FOR HEALTH?
Talk for Health relieves mental illness through a Psychotherapist-designed group peer counselling method. It works as well as therapy. It’s a 4-day peer counselling programme followed by ongoing groups, which enable people to give and get effective therapeutic support long-term.
Our participants call it 'life changing.' We call it 'therapy without therapists.'
WANT TO SPONSOR WHAT WE'RE DOING?
Help our free service to continue by pledging to support our crowdfunding campaign. If we raise our target of £25,000, we can provide peer counselling for 1,000 people for the next 6 months.
If you have any questions, or are unable to sign-up using Eventbrite, please call or text 'call me' on 02034 093201 or email info@talkforhealth.co.uk.
As we are funded by Camden Giving and Islington NHS we have to give priority to Camden and Islington residents, students, or those with a GP in either of those boroughs.
