Talk - Grief Demystified. Bereavement Styles & Practice

Talk by Caroline Lloyd.
Caroline Lloyd originally trained in supporting terminally ill cancer patients and their families in Texas in 1988. Since then she has volunteered in various pre bereavement and bereavement roles for organisations in the UK including Cancer Research UK and Macmillan. For the past eleven years Caroline’s focus has been on researching and supporting those affected by pre bereavement and the bereaved. As a result of her interest, she has been volunteering for Cruse in bereavement support, support group facilitation, as a committee member and helpline volunteer. Caroline has also undertaken specialised training to work with children and young people by CBUK and traumatic grief training with Roadpeace and Dr. Noreen Tehrani.
This talk is part of the programme accompying the Dying Matters Community Display. As part of the national ‘Dying Matters’ initiative, this exhibition explore sthe human experience of death across cultures and throughout the ages. Through thematic displays and associated events we aim to encourage conversations about dying and empower people to make choices about their own deaths.
