Talk HR: Equal Pay Audits - Education Sector
Wed 19 April 2017, 08:00 – 09:30 BST
Addressing pay inequality is one of the government’s aims and with the forthcoming gender pay gap reporting requirements there will be closer scrutiny on organisational pay. The Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 will require organisations with more than 250 employees to produce specific statistics, but these will not in themselves highlight whether equal pay risks exist. The gender pay gap requirements may not apply to your organisation but equal pay legislation does.
What are the benefits of undertaking a more detailed audit? Based on a case study We will consider:
- What is the difference between mandatory gender pay gap reporting and an equal pay audit?
- How should you go about undertaking an equal pay audit?
- What are the problem ‘hot spots’ that typically come to light?
- Developing an action plan.
