Event description

Description

With each New Year we make resolutions to improve ourselves and focus on creating a well-balanced and fulfilled life. We focus on eating better, getting fit, being more mindful; self-improvement and looking and feeling good are high on everyone’s agenda. But we often miss out on the huge impact being a responsible consumer and choosing our clothing has on our self-image. Ayesha Mustafa, Founder of Fashion ComPassion, will talk about how the slow fashion movement, and being a conscious consumer, helps instil a more positive and real self-image. In exchange for following trends and celebrity styles, we look at how choosing quality over quantity, understanding how your products are made and the environmental impact of apparel makes us more educated and empowered consumers.

Wine and nibbles will be served and you'll have the opportunity to shop Fashion ComPassion's collection of sustainable fashion accessories.

About Fashion ComPassion
Fashion ComPassion is a uniquely curated online marketplace of impeccably stylish ethical and sustainable fashion accessories. We bring together discerning fashion lovers with sustainable cruelty-free brands that are committed to social and environmental responsibility. We make it easy for you to build a collection of meaningful, fashion forward wardrobe essentials that will have you looking and feeling great. Our goal is to deliver fashion with purpose.

About Ayesha
Ayesha Mustafa founded Fashion ComPassion in 2011 following a career as a marketing executive for PepsiCo UK. The decision to start her own business came at a time when she had to decide between the corporate ladders or to follow her true passion. She went for the passion and combined her two biggest interests: fashion and social enterprise. Ayesha travels the world to discover unique sustainable fashion brands and aims to show the positive, creative and upbeat side of the countries and cultures where the brands are made. Ayesha is a thought leader in sustainable fashion, provides consultancy to ethical brands, and speaks at various organizations and forums on ethical and sustainable fashion.
