Talk Through Stories Training with Nick Cannon

Bring storytime to life with inspiring training designed to get children talking and boost vocabulary development – fully aligned with the DfE Reading Framework.

This training:

• Shows how Talk Through Stories supports speech and vocabulary goals in the DfE Reading Framework.
• Shows how to prepare and bring a story to life
• Shows how to use talk to develop children’s understanding of new vocabulary
• Supports with classroom management routines that create security and focus for all pupils.
• Shares flexible timetabling options, including how to adapt and customise plans for your own setting.

The day concludes with time to create a personalised school plan, so you leave ready to put ideas into action straight away.

Who is it for?

• Reception and Year 1 teachers
• Especially helpful for teachers working with children who have limited exposure to rich language at home.

Time: Arrive from 8:30am for a 9:00am start.

Lunch: Provided free of charge
