Xinjiang has increasingly been making the news, following numerous reports of the mass detention of Uyghurs in "re-education camps" and human rights abuses.
Rahima Mahmut is a Uyghur singer and human rights activist. As the UK representative for the World Uyghur Congress, she has spoken at Parliament and worked on several documentaries about the Uyghurs in Xinjiang, China.
Rahima will be giving an overview of the situation of Uyghurs in Xinjiang and telling us about her personal story and her experiences documenting the Uyghur crisis.
