An informal, online workshop with experienced adopters to share and discuss how to talk to your adopted children about their adoption and personal story; also how to talk about adoption matters to other family members, friends, school etc. The aim of the workshop is to equip parents so they feel more confident about opening up conversations with their children, answering questions in an age-appropriate way and to prepare their children to deal with other people's questions as well as considering who needs to know what.
This workshop is primarily for adoptive parents and prospective adopters, but foster and kinship carers would find the content relevant and are welcome to attend .
Funded places available for residents in Clackmannanshire, Dundee City, East and Mid Lothian, Glasgow City, Scottish Borders, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire local authority areas.
