Event description
Talking About Diabetes is back for 2020 with a not to be missed line up of inspirational speakers

About this Event

Now in its fifth year, the event on 28 March 2020 will see a host of celebrities, athletes, patients and healthcare professionals take to the stage to share their personal experiences of type 1 diabetes. The goal is to inspire us to think differently about diabetes, removing barriers and harnessing innovation and new technologies. We aim to generate discussion and new thinking through shared experience.

You will be permitted to register interest for a maximum of four tickets per person (two adults and two children). After last year’s success we will also host the TADpole event for 8-12 year olds, which will run in parallel to the TAD talks. Applications for TADpole places should be registered via the TADpole ticket option - children must be accompanied by an adult with a TAD talk ticket.

Those lucky enough to get a ballot place, to be announced in January 2020, will be asked to donate a minimum of £5 to Life for a Child. Life for a Child provides young people, in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, with the insulin, supplies and diabetes education that they need to manage their diabetes.

The TAD talk concept was brought to life by three doctors who specialise in diabetes and want to support and empower those with diabetes to achieve their potential and live well.

Event management support provided by Novo Nordisk.
