We’ll start the online session with a friendly welcome and introduction, so everyone knows what to expect and what we’ll be talking about (10 minutes).
Then, Suffolk User Forum (SUF) will share a bit about who they are and how they can help. This is a chance to learn more about the support and services SUF offers, especially for those working in or using social prescribing services (10 minutes).
After that, we’ll look at what social prescribing is in simple terms, how it can support people to feel better by connecting them with non-medical help in their community (30 minutes).
We’ll also explain the different local services available:
- Connect for Health (for people in Ipswich and East Suffolk)
- Lifelink (for people in West Suffolk)
- And how local GP practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) fit into all of this.
To help make it real, we’ll share some short stories and examples of how social prescribing has helped others (5 minutes).
We’ll also explain how someone can be referred into social prescribing, so if you or someone you know might benefit, you’ll know what to do next (5 minutes).
Finally, we’ll have plenty of time for a relaxed Q&A session (30 minutes), where you can ask any questions or share your thoughts.
We will email all registered attendees with a link to access the online session.
