Talking History: C L R James and E P Thompson - A Film by H O Nazareth
In 1983 H. O. Nazareth directed the film 'Talking History', which brought together two Marxist historians and theoreticians: C. L. R. James and E. P. Thompson. Their conversation, interspersed in the film by music by Spartacus R, ranged around international affairs and atomic warfare at the end of the Cold War, new freedom movements and revolutions in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, hopes for social transformation and mass movements in the global South, and popular politics in the United Kingdom.
