About this Event

Talking Practice is delighted to present an informal, lunchtime talk by Australian digital craftsperson, Bin Dixon-Ward.

Bin will discuss her on going relationship with digital technology and the built environment. In particular the urban grid as an abstracted form that can be transformed into wearable objects. Her artwork examines the interaction between the human and technology in particular the grid as a technology of the city and how interactions between humans and the grid, inject an organic quality to the rigid logic of the built environment. Bin's artmaking explores these themes through digital technology. Seeking to capture this interaction in wearable work that is both a product of technology and human engagement.
