- Have you noticed changing moods and would like practical strategies to handle tricky moments?
- Do you worry about managing your child’s screen time and keeping them safe online?
If so, we’re delighted to invite you to:
Talking Pre-Teens: Encouraging and Supporting Your 8–12 Year Old
A practical, interactive workshop for parents of children in Year 4 and above at The Beacon School
This popular 2½ hour session explores the latest research into the teenage brain and what you can do now to prepare for the years ahead. You’ll gain a clear understanding of:
- Why young people behave the way they do
- How to communicate more effectively
- Ways to encourage independence and responsibility
- Strategies to reduce conflict and manage screen time
Most importantly, you’ll leave with practical tools you can start using right away in family life.
Supporting Links workshops are not lectures. They are lively, interactive learning experiences — but don’t worry, there’s no role play involved.
Previous attendees have said:
"This has made me more aware of potential issues and how to be ready for them as my children get older”
"Excellent teen brain explanation. Very well delivered and engaging session.”
“Very thought provoking and helpful. Opened my eyes to better strategies.”
